Booth sponsors sought for Play Day event
Volunteer Emory will hold its annual Play Day for kids on Saturday, April 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Samuel L. Jones Boys and Girls Club. Volunteers are needed to sponsor carnival-type booths and activities. In years past, volunteers have provided activities like cookie decorating, bracelet making, jump-roping and face painting. Druid Hills hosts home and garden tour
“Cottages and Castles” is the theme for this year’s Druid Hills Home and Garden Tour, scheduled for April 20–22. Plan to spend a spring weekend discovering the magnificent homes and other treasures in Druid Hills. Volunteers are needed for the tour. For more information, visit www.druidhills.org/tour/.

School of Nursing hosts annual ‘Oh Nellie’ 5K
The “Oh Nellie” 5K Trail Run/Walk benefiting Emory’s Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing Partners in Caring fund is set for Saturday, April 28. Atlanta CBS 46 sports anchor Gil Tyree will emcee the fifth annual event. The race starts at 8 a.m. at Lullwater Preserve.

Registration is $20; $25 after April 19. Those who can’t attend the event but want to support Emory nursing can register as phantom runners for $25. Register online at
