Author and filmmaker join Rushdie for look at love

To celebrate the opening of Salman Rushdie’s archive at Woodruff Library, Emory’s Distinguished Writer in Residence will join journalist and author Christopher Hitchens and filmmaker Deepa Mehta for a public symposium, "The Only Subject is Love: Imagining Better Worlds," Friday, Feb. 26 from 1-3:30 p.m. at Schwartz Center for Performing Arts.

Admission is free, but tickets are required.

Rushdie, Hitchens and Mehta will be in conversation with professors Deepika Bahri, Laurie Patton and Matthew Bernstein on how the imagination helps to address the global challenges of our times. The symposium will include time for audience questions.
