Dooley Cup IV: A grand slam for staff
The Dooley Cup IV softball game on March 26 pitted staff against students in what has become an annual tradition. The Administration team rallied from a 6-run deficit in the first inning to claim a thrilling 17-15 win over the Student Government Association, winning the Dooley Cup for the second consecutive season. Eric Rangus led the Administration team with a towering home run over the left field fence, and played stellar defense at third base. Cindy Bryant was the winning pitcher and coached the team from the president’s and provost’s offices. The students trailed by six runs in the last inning, but were able to cut it to two before the final out was recorded.
