Taste of India at the Carlos

It’s another Talk & Taste from the Carlos Museum on Tuesday, May 4, 7 p.m. in the Reception Hall.

“This talk on the spices of India is part of a series the Carlos has been offering for several years,” says Elizabeth Hornor, the museum’s director of education.

Deepika Bahri, associate professor in the Department of English, will discuss the spice trade of India and Archna Becker of Bhojanic Indian Restaurant in Decatur will demonstrate ways to use Indian spices. Spices will also be available for sale.

Space is limited and reservations are required by calling 404.727.6118.

The program parallels the Carlos exhibit “When Gold Blossoms: Indian Jewelry from the Susan N. Beningson Collection.”

“The idea is to connect our everyday lives with ideas and practices of antiquity and, to taste great food and  wine and have a good time,” adds Hornor.
