Staff Fest 2010 coming May 14
Staff Fest 2010 is set for Friday, May 14, with the main event from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the Quad. Rain location is Lower Level Terrace of the Dobbs University Center. A variety of other activities will be offered earlier in the day.
The main event features a variety of snack foods and beverages; a DJ; and tables with information from Emory’s vendors and Emory organizations.
The Employee Council and Volunteer Emory present the community service portion of Staff Fest from 9 a.m. to noon. This year’s opportunities are at the Child Development Association; DeKalb Memorial Park Community Garden; International Rescue Committee; and Project Open Hand. The Volleyball Tournament has expanded to 20 teams on two courts this year, with refereed games played from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The Lullwater FSAP Fun Run or Walk kicks off Staff Fest at the Clifton Road entrance to Lullwater Park. The two-mile run starts at 10 a.m., with the one-mile walk following at 10:30 a.m.
Staff members also have an opportunity to bring nonperishable foods to donate to the Atlanta Community Food Bank at the fest.
