Photographer talk focuses on Haiti

Emory photographer Bryan Meltz has trained her lens on Haiti, focusing on the ongoing humanitarian problems that plague the earthquake-stricken country. She will discuss her work and experiences in an Artist Talk on Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 6 p.m.

This is the first in a series of discussions with Meltz that will take place throughout the run of her yearlong exhibition, “After: Images from Haiti,” on view in the ECIT Gallery in Woodruff Library.

The rotating exhibition focuses on the growing nationwide public health crisis and the challenges of rural life in the Central Plateau, and takes a revealing look inside an orphanage in Port-au-Prince.

The Artist Talk, held in the library’s Jones Room, is free and open to the public.
