Take Note

How will health care reform affect you?

What does health care reform mean for Emory employees and patients?  What will it mean for the community and the future of health care

Find out Wednesday, Nov. 3, when a panel of Emory and industry experts will explore these questions, putting the provisions of the new reform law on a personal level.

“Health Care Reform — a Panel Discussion” takes place from 2:30-4 p.m. in the Woodruff Health Sciences Center Auditorium.

Overwhelming demand moved the event from its original location in the Claudia Nance Rollins building to WHSC. Those who weren't able to register for the event can now do so here.

Panelists include Penny Z. Castellano, chief medical officer for clinical operations, The Emory Clinic; Wright Caughman, interim executive vice president for health affairs and chairman of Emory Healthcare; John Engelen, vice president for governmental affairs; Kenneth Thorpe, chair of the Department of Health Policy & Management; Michelle Mott, associate chief nursing officer at The Emory Clinic; Ron Fontanetta, Towers Watson’s Health Group and Benefit Practice; and Mohit M. Ghose, vice president of public affairs at Aetna Inc.

Michael M.E. Johns, University chancellor and executive vice president for health affairs, emeritus, will moderate.

The event is being videotaped for viewing on the Emory University You Tube page.
