Veterans and those currently serving in the U.S. military will receive special recognition on Thursday, Nov. 11 at Emory’s Veteran Day Ceremony.
Events will begin at 7:45 a.m. at the flagpole on the Quadrangle, with a flag-raising ceremony at 8 a.m.
In conjunction with the day, Lt. Gen. P.K. Keen will come to campus to speak on “Leading Disaster Relief in Haiti.” He will speak from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Boynton Auditorium in Goizueta Business School.
As commander of all U.S. forces in Haiti, Keen led the largest U.S. military operation in support of foreign natural disaster.
All members of the Emory community, particularly those with military affiliation or disaster relief experience, are invited for the discussion.
