Advance Notice

Emory novelist Skibell hosts reading

Joseph Skibell, associate professor of English and creative writing, gives a free reading on Monday, Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the Jones Room of the Woodruff Library.

Skibell is the author of three novels and the recipient of numerous awards, including the prestigious Rosenthal Foundation Award from the American academy of Arts and Letters.

His latest novel, “A Curable Romantic,” was described by O Magazine as “an irresistible romp about a lovelorn 19th-century doctor who falls in with Sigmund Freud – and some dangerously attractive women.”

Part of the Creative Writing Program Reading Series, this event is free and open to the public. The reading from “A Curable Romantic” will be preceded by a public reception at 6 p.m. and followed by a booksigning.
