Sam Cherribi is a contributing writer to "Islamaphobia: The Challenge of Pluralism in the 21st Century" to be published by Oxford University Press in mid-February.
His chapter, titled "Islamophobia in Germany, Austria and Holland," is a case study in the book edited by John L. Esposito and Ibrahim Kalim.
Cherribi is senior lecturer in sociology in Emory College and author of "In the House of War: Dutch Islam Observed" (Oxford University Press, 2010).
George Hentschel has been elected a Fellow in the Biological Physics Division of the American Physical Society.
Hentschel is professor of physics in Emory College.
He was cited for his contributions to biological pattern formation in cellular and multicellular systems, and specifically for his work on the physical mechanisms underlying neuronal development.
Jagdish Sheth has been awarded the Global Management Guru Award, instituted by Birla Institute of Management Technology in India.
Sheth is Charles H. Kellstadt Professor of Marketing at Goizueta Business School.
The award is being conferred for Sheth’s contribution to the field of management.
