Crystal Apple Awards honor teaching
The Residence Hall Association presented eight professors with Crystal Apple Awards for excellence in teaching at a Feb. 21 ceremony. The annual award is given by students, and honors faculty members who go above and beyond in their search for knowledge and involvement in the Emory community.
Meet the 2011 Crystal Apple awardees:
• Excellence in Undergraduate Seminar Education: Carol Anderson, African American studies
• Laura Jones Hardman Award for Excellence in Service to Emory: Victor Corces, biology
• Excellence in Professional School Education: Jodie Guest, epidemiology
• Excellence in Undergraduate Large Lecture Education: Richard Prior, music
• Excellence in Undergraduate Nursing Education: Alison A. Schlenger, nursing
• Excellence in Undergraduate Business Education: Reshma Shah, marketing
• William H. Fox Award for Emerging Excellence: William Tayler, accounting
• Excellence in Graduate School Education: James Zimring, pathology & laboratory medicine
