Greek event to aid Japan

As the world watches Japan deal with the aftermath of the tsunami that devastated the island on March 11, Emory students decided that something needed to be done to provide relief — and fast.

Emory’s Inter-Sorority Council and Delta Delta Delta are hosting “Greeks For Japan,” which will take place Sunday, March 20 from 3-6 p.m. on the sorority village lawn. The event is open to the public, and all proceeds will go to the American Red Cross.

In addition, there will be a mural competition around the theme of tsunami relief for Japan. There is a $5 submission fee and the winning design will be displayed across the windows of Sorority Row and featured in The Emory Wheel.

Ways to get involved:

•  Attend “Greeks for Japan” on March 20.

•  To donate food for the event, please contact Alexis Kellert.
