Emory hosts Creativity & Arts Soiree
Get a taste of the 2011-12 Arts at Emory season with performances and activities from dance performances and workshops, to still-life drawing and music concerts.
Emory College Center for Creativity & Arts hosts the Creativity & Arts Soiree, Friday, Sept. 9, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Emory's Schwartz Center for Performing Arts.
Get a taste of the 2011-12 Arts at Emory season with performances and activities from dance performances and workshops, to still-life drawing and music concerts.
The Soiree also begins a year-long exploration of water, curated by the Center for Creativity & Arts. A series of arts performances, lectures and classroom activities will explore the many ways humans and water interact. Water and sustainability-themed activities at the Soiree will include sculpture building with recycled water bottles and plastic.
The Creativity & Arts Awards, recognizing Emory and metro-Atlanta community members who have made significant artistic and administrative contributions to the arts in Atlanta, will be presented at the Soiree. The awards presentation begins at 6:45 p.m. in the Chase Upper Lobby of the Schwartz Center.
