Future of U.S. health policy is Johns Lecture topic

The Michael M.E. Johns Lecture on Public Health, "U.S. Health Policy, What's Next?" will be Thursday, Sept. 29 in the Claudia Nance Rollins building at 4 p.m.

The speaker is Karen Ignagni, president and chief executive officer of America's Health Insurance Plans.

Her presentation will focus on health care reform and provide perspective on the implementation of the Affordable Care Act and how stakeholders can help make coverage more affordable and improve its quality.

America's Health Insurance Plans is the national trade association representing the health insurance industry whose members provide health and supplemental benefits to workers through employer-sponsored coverage, the individual insurance market, and public programs such as Medicare and Medicaid.
