Miller-Ward Alumni House hosts Halloween tradition

Jake's Open House Halloween Party will be Thursday Oct. 27

Jake's Open House Halloween Party, an Emory tradition of fun, will be Thursday, Oct. 27, at 5:30 p.m. at the Miller-Ward Alumni House.

The Emory community is encouraged to wear costumes and bring the family for activities including arts and crafts, carnival games, a bounce house, picture booth, treats and prizes for all ages. Admission is free.

The Varsity is providing food. Meal tickets include choice of hamburger or hotdog, French fries or onion rings and a Coca-Cola product or water.  Meal tickets can be purchased at the door with cash only ($3 for children, $5 for adults).

“Our annual open house is named after our late Dean of Alumni, Judson (Jake) C. Ward ’33C ’36G and one of the namesakes of the alumni house,” says Missy Rodil, director of event and facility management at the Miller-Ward House and Emory Alumni Association. “Dr. Ward loved visiting with people and hosting this open house.”
