Survey on workplace flexibility seeks input

Emory University staff will be receiving an email invitation to participate in the first-ever Workplace Flexibility Survey.

Conducted by the Emory WorkLife Resource Center, in partnership with the Office of Institutional Research, Planning and Effectiveness, the campus-wide study seeks to examine how Emory employees currently use workplace flexibility options such as telecommuting, flexible schedules and compressed workweeks.  The data from the survey will also be used to measure the current perceptions and opinions towards workplace flexibility by both employees and their managers.

"This survey will give us valuable baseline data which will not only help us understand the current climate at Emory but will also allow us to measure the impact of any future workplace flexibility initiatives," says John Kosky, director of the Emory WorkLife Resource Center.

Emory employees will have until Nov. 11 to complete the survey.  Estimated completion time is 5-7 minutes for staff and 10-12 minutes for managers.  Responses to the survey will be treated as confidential and will only be used by the WorkLife staff for future program planning purposes only.
