The Dusty hasn't settled

The Emory Alumni Board (EAB) president is the de facto spokesperson for Emory’s alumni body of 100,000 strong. That gives the person in the role uncommon access to Emory’s leadership, and the EAB president for 2007, Dusty Porter 85C, isn’t one to shy away from the responsibility.

That’s something Emory’s new Institute for Developing Nations (IDN) seeks to change, and the first major step was taken last month at a groundbreaking academic conference in Cape Town, South Africa.
