Big Changes in Store for the 2012-2013 Financial Aid Process

National Financial Literacy Month
April is National Financial Literacy Month which highlights the importance of making informed and effective financial decisions. People with low levels of financial literacy suffer from this lack of knowledge through all phases of life. Did you know that 67% of U.S. college seniors graduated with loans in 2010 with an average debt of $25,250? Student loan, credit card and auto loan debts can be difficult for new graduates to balance without proper planning and knowledge. The cost of financial ignorance is high. Effective financial literacy is a collective effort we hope you will join in as we recognize and celebrate National Financial Literacy Month. Learn More.

Federal Student Loans for Graduate and Professional Students in 2012-13
As a result of the Budget Control Act (BCA) of 2011 major changes have been made to the Federal Direct Stafford Loan Program for graduate students that directly affect the cost to borrow in the summer of 2011-12 and subsequent academic years. Learn more.

Emory Advantage
Emory Advantage is Emory University's financial aid initiative to help students from families who demonstrate financial need and have total annual incomes of $100,000 or less. The program reduces the amount of money borrowed to pay for an undergraduate Emory degree. The goal is to make an Emory education attainable for any qualified student.
