  Panhellenic Council for men is started at Oxford before moving to Atlanta.
 


Seven Fraternities at Emory (Chi Phi, Kappa Alpha, Phi Delta Theta, Alpha Tau Omega, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Delta Tau Delta, and Sigma Nu) re-organize the Panhellenic Council for men.

Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity receives their charter.

 
Panhellenic Council for men is voted out and dissolved.

Beta Theta Pi receives their charter.
 

  Emory University becomes coeducational for the first time.
 

Temporary recognition given to several women's social clubs.

 
  Ten strong local Women's clubs receive temporary charters from the University.

  A vote passes which states that all ten Women's clubs be given permanent charters.

Trustees' executive committee votes unanimously to permit chartering of national sorority chapters.

National chapters are chartered, then installed. The ten original sororities: Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Epsilon Phi, Chi Omega, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Gamma, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Delta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Phi Mu.
