The
Interfraternity Council (IFC) andd the Intersorority Council (ISC)
are the governing bodies that oversee Emory's fraternities and
sororities. Both councils are encouraged to operate with as much
independence as their successful performance warrants, in harmony
with the ideals of the University.
The
IFC the ISC hold elections of their officers in November. The new
elected officers will be
inducted into their positions in February
following formal recruitment. This two month period will give
students the opportunity to transition with their out-going counterpart.
In mid-February the new executive boards will begin the application,
interview and appointment process for their standing committee
chairs.
Additionally,
each recognized fraternity and sorority holds their own officer
elections and chairperson appointments
annually.
Chapters have many different elected and appointed positions
for their members.
This is another great way for students to get involved on the
chapter level.
