The Greek Life Advancement (GLA) Program is designed to
motivate fraternities and sororities to provide more educational and non-social
activities for their members.
CURRENT
GLA RESULTS 2007-08
Chapters
who achieve certain statuses receive the following:
Gold
Status
» be
recognized in The Wheel as an outstanding chapter
» have no restrictions on social events
» have
intramural entry fees paid for by IFC or ISC for one year OR
» co-sponsorship
of a program up to $150 paid by OSFL
» have
preferential seating at Greek events
Silver Status
» be
recognized in The Wheel
» be
allowed to have five (5) social events per semester
» be
allowed to participate in all Intramural sports
» have
preferential seating at Greek events
Bronze Status
» be
recognized in The Wheel
» be
allowed to have two (2) social events per semester
» be
allowed to paticipate in two (2) Intramural sports per semester
Other Incentives
» OSFL
will advertise community service efforts of each chapter
» OSFL
will advertise philanthropic efforts of each chapter
» OSFL
will advertise awards received by each chapter
Disincentives
» Chapters
NOT achieving gold, silver, or bronze status will not be allowed
to have social events for one (1) semester
» Chapters
not achieving gold, silver, or bronze status will sponsor or
attend additional educational seminars
