Now North America’s largest fraternity with more than 260,000 initiated members, Sigma Alpha Epsilon was founded in 1856 at the University of Alabama. The organization’s mission remains the same: to promote the highest standards of friendship, scholarship, and service. Emory’s Georgia Epsilon chapter of SAE was founded in 1881.
