Originally named “The Legion of Honor”, Sigma Nu was founded by three cadets at the Virginia Military Institute in 1869, and is known today as North America’s first “Honor” fraternity with a mission to develop ethical leaders. Emory’s Xi chapter of Sigma Nu was founded in 1884.
