Created on the principles of scholarship, service, and sisterly love, Zeta Phi Beta was founded by five women dedicated to establishing a new organization not focusing on social aspects but instead addressing societal mores, ills, prejudices, and poverty. Zeta Phi Beta was founded at Howard University in 1920. Emory's colony was founded in 2008.
