Project Move In
August 25, 2007
Project Move-In is a volunteer effort by members of sororities and fraternities to help the incoming freshmen class move into their residence halls. It is also a great opportunity to meet some new people, help new students get acquainted with Emory, and kick off the new school year!
Presidents' Retreat
August 25-26, 2007
Retreats provide an opportunity for groups to create organizations filled with members who have the capacity for self-assessment, adaptive learning, and honest feedback; the Office of Sorority and Fraternity Life annually sponsors retreats for Chapter Presidents, Interfraternity/Intersorority Council Officers, and Rho Gammas.
Makarios Day
September 6, 2007
Emory’s sorority and fraternity community
officially welcomes the freshman class to Emory. The New Student Record is traditionally distributed at this event, in addition to the music, food, games, and great prizes.

Fraternity Upperclass Recruitment
September 17-21, 2007
Upperclass Recruitment typically takes place in the fall. Each fraternity/sorority has its own policies on how many upperclass recruits they can have in one year, or even if they are participating. Contact the OSFL for more information.
Octoberfest (ISC)
October TBD, 2007
Octoberfest is an OSFL sponsored event to introduce women to the recruitment process, which occurs in the Spring. This is a good opportunity for girls to meet sorority women and ask questions about the sorority recruitment process. Contact your Pi Chi for more information or Learnlink your questions to "Rush Team 2006".
Novemberfest (ISC)
November TBD, 2007
Novemberfest is also an OSFL sponsored event for women who are thinking about recruitment. Again, it is a good time to learn about the recruitment process and what to expect when recruitment begins in the spring semester. Novemberfest mimics the formal recruitment process and is designed to make potential new members feel at ease during the rigors of formal recruitment. Contact your Pi Chi for more information or Learnlink your questions to "Rush Team 2006".

Sorority Formal Recruitment
January 17-27, 2008
Recruitment is a period of time where potential new members are given the opportunity to meet members of each sorority and make a decision on whether or not sorority life is for them.
Fraternity Formal Recruitment
January 20-25, 2008
Recruitment is a period of time where potential new members are given the opportunity to meet members of each fraternity and make a decision on whether or not fraternity life is for them.
New Member Education Retreat
February 25, 2006
This day-long symposium is designed to help acquaint the newest members of the sorority and fraternity community to the policies and procedures that govern the Greek community, as well as provide insight into life as a new sorority or fraternity member. Various topics are discussed including, goal setting, leadership development, risk management, and fraternity/sorority values.
Greek Weekend
February 23-29, 2008
Greek Weekend is intended for all sororities and fraternities. Come out and support your organization!

Greek Awards
TBD, 2008
The Greek Awards Banquet is an opportunity to recognize outstanding individuals and organizations for their previous year's work. The Dean's Cup is awarded at the end of this ceremony each year.
