Assistant Directors serve as supervisors to student staff, including Residence Hall Directors, Resident Advisors, and Sophomore Advisors, who work in the residence halls in their area. Assistant Directors are representatives of the Vice President for Campus Life and respond to emergency situations involving Emory students.

Assistant Directors hold Master’s Degrees in student personnel (or a related field), and are full-time professional staff members. Each Assistant Director resides in an on-campus residence hall.
