Amicalola Falls St. Park :: ngeorgia.com/parks/amicalola.html
On a ridge known as the Amicalola Mountain there is a body of water. Along the western slope the river runs, until it tumbles and drops off ledges at the southern end of the Appalachians creating beautiful waterfalls. The winter and early spring are the best time to view the falls, although they are impressive year-round.

Explore a botanical garden and find a collection of plants, roses, herbs, hydrangeas, dwarf conifers, ornamental grasses, begonias, and much more. Visit the Dorothy Chapman Fuqua Conservatory, home of rare and endangered plants, and look inside the Desert House and the Children’s Garden. The Botanical Garden is located in the northwest corner of Piedmont Park.

The Little White House was the home of Franklin D. Roosevelt for many of the years of his Presidency. Because of his childhood polio, FDR had problems using his legs and found the warm springs in this part of the country to help him greatly. Many important political decisions took place during his time in the Little White House. The Museum on site is to commemorate him and everything he did during his presidency for the country and for other victims of polio.
