The restaurants below are provided as a reference point for the benefit of our residents. The list is not comprehensive and the Office of Residence Life & Housing does not endorse or promote the listed businesses or institutions. Willy’s Mexicana
Grill
:: A
great place near campus for large, cheap burritos. Order it how you like it…great
for the picky eater. Enjoy outside dining year round as well as the familiar
faces of many other Emory students. Bagel Palace :: A staple of Emory life. Bagel
Palace is very close to campus located in Toco Hills shopping center and
is known for having everything. Fresh
bagels
and cookies, all day brunch, and plenty of sandwiches. Maggiano’s :: Great family-style Italian
food. Big dishes and prices that match. A great place for birthdays or
Parents Weekend. Chili’s Grill and Bar :: Great any time
of the day. Located in Toco Hills, Chili’s is close to campus and has
good southwestern American food. Doc Chey’s Noodle House :: Thai/Malaysian
noodle house with Vegetarian options. Fun atmosphere and a location
in Emory Village. You are sure
to see plenty
of fellow students. Los Loros :: Cheap Mexican food and
great margaritas - close to campus. Very friendly and good service. Dusty’s :: If you like BBQ this is
a good place to try. Located at the intersection of Clifton Road
and Briarcliff Road - just north
of campus.
It’s cheap
and it even has a drive-thru. Sonny’s Bar-B-Q :: A little farther
away but worth the drive. Only about a mile from campus on the
corner of Cheshire Bridge Road
and Lavista
Road. Murphy’s :: Another favorite
of Emory students, Murphy’s is slightly more expensive and there
is almost always a wait but people keep
going because
it is so good.
Located in the middle of Virginia Highlands. Murphy’s is a
great place for lunch, dinner, or a weekend brunch. Top Spice :: A new favorite if you like Thai food. Plenty of vegetarian cuisine and despite the name, a few dishes that are not spicy if that is your preference. You will get a lot of food for your money and you’ll enjoy the great atmosphere. Located in Toco Hills. Everybody’s :: Pizza/Italian food and great salads. Located in Emory Village. Started by
Emory Alums years ago, Everybody’s
has become
an Emory favorite
just a short walk from campus. International House of Pancakes
:: Breakfast all day long and great brunches on the weekends. The
wait you’ll encounter
is
worth it.
Just down the
road. Rainbow Grocery and Restaurant
:: All vegetarian, very health and very good. You can eat dinner
and then pick
up some
groceries. Very cute,
small restaurant
in
the back of the grocery store but it’s very good and
not at all expensive. Whole Foods :: Great if you like
to buy health foods. Whole Foods has a large soup and salad bar
as well
as a large
variety of
other prepared
foods.
You
can eat there or take it home. Very quick and close
to campus. Eatzi’s :: Not very close to campus
but worth the drive for quick, easy, and tasty food. Eatzi's is
an upscale
grocery
store with
prepared foods
of all
kinds. Everything
is made fresh daily including the bread. Slightly
more expensive than your average grocery store
but the food
is already cooked
for you. Publix :: Good grocery store with
a great deli. Emory students love to drop in for subs. Very quick
and
inexpensive. There
are also
a few other
prepared
foods
including fresh cut fruit and pasta salad. Cheesecake Factory :: A big favorite
for birthdays. Great food and awesome desserts. Be prepared
to wait but if
you have the
time
it’s great.
Two locations, on
Peachtree Road in Buckhead and in Perimeter
mall. Café Tu Tu Tango :: Good food and
a lot of fun. Small dishes and slightly expensive but worth
it for the
unique atmosphere. The Atlanta Fish Market :: Upscale restaurant
in Buckhead with good food, the Atlanta
Fish Market
is one of
the few places
you can
find plenty
of great fish
entrees. |
