The Student Activity & Academic Center will be hosting the following fitness classes from Tuesday, January 21st through Saturday, April 26th. Please remember, the first week will be FREE. The FREE classes run from Tuesday, January 21st through Monday, January 27th. There will be no GetFIT classes January 31st, February 1st, and March 8th-15th. Class size is limited and all classes are on a first come, first served basis. All classes held in SAAC Room 211 will be capped at 25 participants. Class schedule is subject to change at any time.
Each participant must gain access to the facility by:
¨ being a current student or SAAC member
¨ a $5.00 fee with sponsorship from a current member
¨ a 14-visit Pass “check”
¨ a 14-visit GetFIT Guest Pass “check”
Each participant must present one of the following for each class:
¨ a $20 student GetFIT pass (unlimited classes)
¨ a $40 member GetFIT pass (unlimited classes)
¨ a $6.00 single class visit receipt (valid for only one class)
¨ a 14-visit GetFIT Guest Pass “check” (to go to more than one class you must purchase a single visit also)

Inspired by the high energy music from Indian films, this class is a great way to get a full body, calorie-burning workout—without compromising the most important aspect, FUN! The energetic dances will be a fusion of Bhangra, Garba, hip-hop and classic “bollywood-film” movements.
Classical Hatha Yoga
A classical hatha yoga practice with emphasis on traditional asanas (postures) and pranayama (breath work) while also providing a meditative practice. The focus is on flexibility, strength, relaxation, devotion, and personal growth. Long holds and floor work.
This class will give you all the tools you need to learn how to strengthen the essential muscle groups of your core. Prepare to sit up straighter, feel stronger and look leaner!
You will be challenged both physically and mentally in this yoga class designed to balance strength and flexibility. Come discover your Power from within!
Looking for a total body workout that is quick and efficient? Uniting high intensity interval training and core training for this class will get your heart pumping and sweat rolling. So let's HIIT-It!
Not for the faint at heart!, Lean Machine will work off those Friday night-out empty calories with high-endurance cardio drills, body weight exercise and sweat! If you want to be lean we will see you there!
A challenging class that uses mind-body exercises to stretch and strengthen the muscles. Pilates focuses on the abdominal powerhouse and works the rest of the body through the core connection.
Swoop’s Circuit Training
A total body workout – including your heart! Combining muscular strength and toning moves along with cardio based interval drills you will be sure to leave this class feeling totally fit!
The Tabata training technique is 20 seconds of exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated 4 to 6 times. But don’t be fooled—this format will leave you begging for that 10 seconds of rest!
Total Body Toning
Designed to work the entire body, this class will tone your chest, back, legs, core and every muscle in-between utilizing body weight, bands and dumbbells. You will leave this total body class feeling satisfied and strong!
Twerk ‘n’ Tone
Afun dance class that really gets the heart pumping with 30 minutes of dancing (including “twerking”)followed by 20 minutes of resistance training.

A mixed-level vinyasa yoga class that challenges yogis of varying experience by offering the freedom to explore, modify, and intensify postures and sequences. Each class will include a strong mix of yoga postures structured around a yoga flow sequence that will deepen your awareness, expand your practice, and strengthen and stretch your body and mind. For all adventurous yogis seeking to sweat out toxins and create space within.
