The Student Activity & Academic Center will be hosting the following fitness classes from Monday, January 14th through Friday, May 10th,. Please remember the first week will be FREE. The FREE sessions run from Monday, January 14th, through Thirsday, January 18th. There will be no fitness classes on Martin Luther King Jr Day (Monday, January 21st) or Spring Break (March11-15). Class size is limited and all classes are on a first come, first served basis. All classes held in room 211 will be capped at 25 participants.
We now offer the Get Fit pass for fitness classes.This pass allows the owner to unlimited access to any of our fitness classes.

For non-Get Fit holders the classes are $6 per visit. A 5 class punch card can be purchased for $25 or a 10 class punch card for $45. All purchases can be made at the SAAC front desk.
Ab Blast/Strength & Tone: Mondays 7:00pm - 7:50pm
This class is a split between getting a great pump and ripping those abs! Can you say ISOLATION? We're targeting specific trouble areas while getting stronger and toning the core. Definitely a class that all fitness levels will find useful for asthetics as well as functional purposes!
Boot Camp: Wednesdays 7:00pm-7:50pm
Boot Camp uses a variety of exercises that aims develop toned muscles as well as a lean frame. This military influenced fitness regime is a combination of cardiovascular exercises and strength training, using body weight, resistance bands, and dumbbells. In this class, cardio & calisthenics are our BUDS!
Cardio Kickbox & Scultpting: Tuesdays & Thursdays 7:00pm - 7:50pm
Turn it up a notch as we increase our heartbeat with various forms of Cardio Kickboxing & Sculpting.
The 1st half will be kickboxing routines, the latter half will consist of strength training and sport conditioning drills. It is taught at a moderate to high intensity level that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and ready for the next!

This class will provide a total body workout – including your heart! Combining high endurance muscular moves along with cardio-based intervals you will be sure to leave this class feeling fit!
NEW! Spring 2013 - HIIT/Ab Blast: Wednesdays 8:00pm - 8:50pm
Half the class will be H.I.I.T., and the other half will be Absolution.
H.I.I.T.: Stands for High Intensity Interval Training. This high-impact class is not a walk in the park! Plyometrics, cardio drills, and weight training are all combined into blood pumping intervals! This 25 minute burst will be short – so be ready to work!
Absolution: Developing a powerful core is the only thing on this class agenda. During this 25 minute concentrated class, you will learn about the different muscles involved in core strength and how to use them!
NEW! Spring 2013 - Pilates: Mondays & Wednesdays 7:00pm - 7:50pm
A challenging class that uses mind-body exercises to stretch and strengthen the muscles. Pilates focuses on the powerhouse/abs, and works the rest of the body through the core connection. All levels are welcome.

Samba is to Brazil what Salsa is to Latin America. It is sexy, exciting, captivating and almost mesmerizing. Yoga - Classical Hatha: Mondays & Wednesdays 6:00pm - 6:50pm
Instructor: Alison Taylor is a Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher. She trained at Peachtree Yoga and has taught and studied various forms of hatha yoga for six years. She continues her training in Pranakriya with Yoganand Michael Carroll. Alison is also a certified Power Pilates instructor.
Class Requirements: Yoga Mat (can be purchased at the Information Desk for $12.00)
Class Description: A classical hatha yoga practice with emphasis on traditional asanas (postures) and pranayama (breath work). Focus is on flexibility, strength, relaxation, devotion, and personal growth. Long holds and floor work. Excellent for students just beginning a personal practice as well as for students seeking to deepen their understanding of traditional yoga. A meditative practice with attention to the cycles of the seasons and rhythms of the natural world.
