Job Opportunities at the Student Activity & Academic Center

The Student Activity & Academic Center (SAAC) is the campus center of Clairmont Campus. It is a true multi-use facility, with students and other members using SAAC space for studying, eating, exercising and socializing with friends. All students are members of the SAAC, and we sell memberships to Emory faculty, staff, alumni, and members of the surrounding neighborhoods. We feature three outdoor swimming pools, eight tennis courts, indoor and outdoor basketball facilities, strength and conditioning equipment, a cafe, a computer lab, classrooms, and more. SAAC GRADUATE ASSISTANT
The primary function of the Graduate Assistant at the Student Activity and Academic Center (SAAC-GA) is to coordinate front desk operations, assist with student staff training and scheduling and customer service.  The SAAC-GA will plan, organize and execute operation duties aimed at approximately 1500 undergraduate students, 14 university guests, and four faculty members who reside on our campus, and the approximately 3000 members of the SAAC that is made up of families and children. All currently enrolled Emory students are members of the SAAC. 

This is a part-time, 30-hour per week, live-in graduate assistantship position with a semester stipend.

SAAC MANAGER
Each SAAC Manager reports directly to the Staff Coordinator and performs a variety of duties that assist in the operation of the Student Activity & Academic Center. These important positions will challenge the abilities of those chosen and offer them valuable skills in communication, management, and organization.

SAAC Manager hours are tentatively Sunday through Thursday, 6:45am to 2:15am, Friday and Saturday, 7:45 am to 2:15am. Although weekly schedules will vary, SAAC Managers will work approximately 8-12 hours per week.

Summer SAAC managers are required to work 15 hours per week. Staff members must work together to cover all shifts on the weekly schedule, including any early morning and late night shifts. SAAC Managers are not required to work during academic break periods, but may work extra hours if available to help with coverage.

SAAC POOL MANAGER
Each SAAC Pool Manager reports directly to the Assistant Director and performs a variety of duties that assist in the operation of the SAAC. These important positions will challenge the abilities of those chosen and offer them valuable skills in communication, management, and organization.

Pool Manager hours are Monday through Sunday, 8:00am to 11:00am. Although weekly schedules will vary, SAAC Pool Managers will work approximately 12-15 hours per week. Staff members must work together to cover all shifts on the weekly schedule, including weekend shifts.
