How to Apply - Clairmont Campus

Your first step to securing housing is to complete the on-line housing application. You may click "Apply Onlineā€ to the left or click here.

The first page of the application form will ask you to enter your seven-digit student ID number. If you do not have an ID number at the time of application, please click the box "I do not have an ID number" and the system will assign you a temporary ID. Please write this number down as you will need to use it to access your application until your official University ID number is assigned. (You may "re-enter" the application at any time to verify your selections or to make changes in your selections by using the assigned number or your University ID number.)

Complete the application form with the requested information. We strongly encourage you to indicate your preferred lease start date on the application as it is difficult to make changes later. Also, please do not list apartment type preferences that are not an option for you; we may need to offer you your second or third choice if your first is not available.

When you have completed the form, click the submit button at the bottom of the screen. If the form will not submit, it is possible that you have not provided information in a required field; please scroll back through the form and look for incomplete or blank spaces.

To ensure your application information has been properly submitted and properly saved: after submitting the application, please log back in and view the information. If you do not see your information, you will need to complete the application again and resubmit it. Please be sure to click on the submit button with your mouse/cursor.

When you submit your application, you will receive an automatic email confirmation to your primary email address. Please note that on the reply email, your apartment type preferences will show in alphabetical order, not in the priority order you indicated on your application. You can confirm your priority order by logging back in to the application; your preferences are received by the Office of Residence Life & Housing in the order you indicate on the application.

New assignment priority for available apartments within graduate/professional student housing for the 2008-2009 academic year is as follows:

1. Incoming international students
2. Students with special needs as verified through the Office of Disability Services
3. New graduate/professional student applicant
