Changing or Canceling Your Reservation

CHANGING YOUR RESERVATION | CANCELING YOUR RESERVATION

Changing Your Reservation

Pre Move-In Room Changes
Graduate students may request a change of apartment up to two weeks prior to move in. To request a change, please submit a written request to: HousingHelp@learnlink.emory.edu. Please note that you may not submit a room change request for another person; if your current roommate wishes to room change with you, he/she will need to also submit a request. There are no guarantees that we will be able to accommodate any roommate request.

If you are trying to "swap" rooms with another person - you are going into his/her current assignment and he/she going into your current assignment - each student who is moving must write individually; it is not necessary for roommates who are not moving to write.

The email should include: your full name, student ID number, assignment, and the desired assignment/apartment type. Changes will be done by hand so please allow time for processing. You will be notified via email when the change is made, if a change is possible.

Academic Year Changes
If you would like to request a room change after you have moved in to your apartment, you will need to complete a Transfer Request Form at the Clairmont Campus Community Office. Transfer requests will be processed as vacancies occur. There is a $75 charge to transfer apartments.

Canceling Your Reservation
Students receiving a graduate housing assignment have one week from the time the assignment is accepted to cancel the reservation. Reservation cancellation requests should be emailed to: HousingHelp@learnlink.emory.edu.

The email should include: your full name, student ID number, assignment, and the statement that you wish to cancel. Emails will be reviewed to assure they arrived in the one week time period and will be responded to as quickly as possible. Reservation cancellations received during this one week period will be released without penalty.
Requests for cancellation, from students who are not enrolled at Emory, received after the one week period will forfeit the $300 reservation fee. Requests for cancellation, from students who are enrolled at Emory, received after the one week period will be subject to the Lease buy-out clause in the Graduate Lease Agreement.
