Signing Your Lease Agreement - President Park
Once a bedspace has been selected for you, there are two steps to complete the reservation process: signing the Lease Agreement and submitting the $300 reservation fee (students) or the $200 deposit (non-students). Leases may begin on any day of the desired month of occupancy. Applicants should indicate a specific date on the application. If a specific date is not requested, the lease will begin on the first day of the desired month of occupancy. Rent is charged from the date the lease begins. Requests to change the start date on your Lease agreement can be emailed to housinghelp@learnlink.emory.edu. Requests may be made up until two weeks prior to the original start date. Requests after that point will not be accepted and cannot be processed. Two types of Lease Agreements are available for the 2008-09 academic year: May 17 leases (terminating on Sunday after Commencement in May and May 31 leases. Both leases commence on the date stated on the lease. * Unless the resident graduates or is no longer affiliated with Emory, leases can not be terminated prior to the selected end date without incurring the termination penalty as outlined in the Lease. The President Park Lease Agreement is a one-year binding agreement. Your signature on the Lease Agreement is binding and acknowledges your financial obligation as well as your commitment to follow the policies and procedures of the University.
