About Residence Life and Housing

Summer Operations Assistant

Summer Operations Assistants (SOA) perform a variety of duties during the summer break as our physical spaces are improved across campus. This position will challenge the abilities of the chosen candidates and offer them valuable business skills in communication and organization, as well as a basic understanding of facilities management. SOAs report to the Coordinator of Facilities and Operations while receiving leadership from a Facilities and Operations Intern.

This position requires approximately fifteen (15) hours each week of on-site work in addition to serving on the “On Call” rotation for Clairmont Campus. Site work should be expected to take place in any residential facility at Clairmont or central campus. The staff members on call respond to a variety of situations to assist the residents and facilities while the Clairmont office is closed. Staff members are typically on call once every two weeks, depending on the number of staff members.
