About Hamilton Holmes Hall
Students participating in the Creativity & Innovation living-learning community will reside in Hamilton Holmes Hall. Hamilton Holmes opens Fall 2012 and will house 125 residents. The building is named after the late Hamilton E. Holmes, the first African-American student to graduate from the Emory School of Medicine in 1967. Holmes served as the Medical Director at Grady Hospital (Atlanta) until 1995, when he became the Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Grady and Associate Dean at Emory SOM.
