Your Second Year at Emory Staff

Second Year at Emory is staffed by an Area Director, a Complex Director, 3+ Hall Directors, and 29+ Resident Advisors. The staff is split between Woodruff Residential Center, Clifton Tower, and Complex (Thomas, Hopkins, and Smith Halls).

The SYE Complex Director supervises the daily operation of Woodruff Residential Center and Clifton Tower. The CD serves the Emory University community in planning educational programs that support the SYE program, managing and administrating the operation of a residential complex, supervising undergraduate and graduate staff, and responding to resident behavior.

Cristina Dimengo currently serves as the Complex Director for Woodruff. Cristina received her Master's in Higher Education Administration at Boston College and completed her undergraduate education at Miami University. New to Atlanta, you can find Cristina exploring the great restaurants, neighborhoods, and parks the city as to offer. With the help of the Woodruff RA staff, she brings SYE programming and a positinve (fun!) living environment to the residence hall.

Each of the other halls within SYE is supervised by a Residence Hall Director. Residence Hall Directors are live-in supervisors of the residence hall student staff, and they serve as advisers to the Residence Hall Association hall councils. RHDs are recent Emory graduates serving a one-year Campus Life Fellowship, who have overall responsibility for their residence hall or complex.

Helen Hill '11C serves as the RHD for Clifton Tower, as well as the Religious Life Fellow.Sydney Blount '11C and Mukhtar Voss '11C serve as the RHDs for Complex (Hopkins, Smith, and Thomas Halls). Sydney is the SYE Fellow and Mukhtar serves as the Emory Alumni Association Fellow.
