Your Second Year at Emory Staff
Second Year at Emory is staffed by an Area Director, a Complex Director, 3+ Hall Directors, and 29+ Resident Advisors. The staff is split between Woodruff Residential Center, Clifton Tower, and Complex (Thomas, Hopkins, and Smith Halls).
The SYE Complex Director supervises the daily operation of Woodruff Residential Center and Clifton Tower. The CD serves the Emory University community in planning educational programs that support the SYE program, managing and administrating the operation of a residential complex, supervising undergraduate and graduate staff, and responding to resident behavior.
Andrea Grant currently serves as the Complex Director for Woodruff. With the help of the Woodruff RA staff, she brings SYE programming and a positive (fun!) living environment to the residence hall.
Each of the other halls within SYE is supervised by a Residence Hall Director. Residence Hall Directors are live-in supervisors of the residence hall student staff, and they serve as advisers to the Residence Hall Association hall councils. RHDs are recent Emory graduates serving a one-year Campus Life Fellowship, who have overall responsibility for their residence hall or complex.
Bori Byun '13C serves as the RHD for Clifton Tower, as well as the Alumni Relations Fellow. Jill Morsberger '13C serves as the RHD for Complex (Hopkins, Smith, and Thomas Halls). Jill is the SYE Fellow.
