Living in Spanish House
The Spanish House accommodates ten students and, when possible, one
graduate student who is a native Spanish speaker. The Spanish House offers a number of
programs for students who are Spanish majors or those simply
interested in Hispanic cultures. Even though living in the
Spanish House carries
no credit, it is strongly recommended as an option
for students who plan to study
abroad or have returned from abroad and wish to maintain
their language skills. Spanish should be spoken at all times in the public areas of the house. An intermediate to advanced level of Spanish (212 level or higher) is recommended.
The Spanish House is located on Peavine Creek Drive and is open to any upperclass student who is interested in working on language skills or learning more about Hispanic cultures. The house layout consists of five suite-style rooms and five communal-style single rooms. The application/interview process is coordinated through the Spanish Department. Download an application for 2011-2012 here: For more information, contact the Spanish department at 404.727.6434 or contact: Office of Residence Life & Housing The Spanish House is open to second-, third-, and fourth-year students. Important Dates
Theme house selection begins in January of each academic year and is coordinated
directly by the Spanish Department in conjunction with
the Office of Residence Life & Housing.
