1. A group may rent the space for one of two periods;
the “day” or
the “night.” Rental of the room for the “day” is
from 9 am to 5 pm. Rental of the room for the “night” is
from 5 pm to 12 midnight. If a group wishes to rent the room for the “day” and “night” periods,
the cost is double. Rental fees do not cover the costs of damage assessment
and repairs or excessive cleaning fees.
2. There are no rental fees for
the use of Music Practice rooms, though charges will be assessed if
there is damage done to the room, furnishings
or equipment.
3. Under no circumstances may any group continue to use
any Clairmont Campus space after midnight without explicit, written
permission from
the Director of Clairmont Campus or his/her designee. Failure to comply
with this regulation may result in additional fees, restrictions on
future space usage, and possible judicial action.
4. Residence Life & Housing staff
will assess the condition of reserved spaces after the event. Any
charges for cleaning will be made from this assessment.
If undue/excessive cleaning is required, the charge will be for
labor, plus the cost of the materials. Damages will be charged
based upon
the cost of labor and materials to complete repairs. Assessments
for cleaning
and/or damages will be charged to the account number provided by
the sponsor of the event. Individuals reserving space at
Clairmont Campus will be held responsible for any damages that
have occurred during
the time the space was rented by the group.
5. No decorations may be attached
to any surface in a permanent or destructive manner. No decorations
may be attached with thumbtacks, tape, nails,
staples, or other adhesives to the walls, ceilings, woodwork or furniture.
All decorations must be removed by sponsor at the conclusion of the
event.
6.
If a reserved space is left in disarray after an event, the sponsor
will be held responsible for the clean-up/repair. Sponsors are required
to clean the space, to bag and dispose of trash in the trash chute
and
return the rooms to their original condition and configuration.
7. Space
usage fees and damage charges may be paid by check, money order, interdepartmental
transfer of funds, or direct billing of a student account.
Cash and credit cards are not accepted. Usage fees are not refundable
unless an event is canceled five or more business days prior to the
scheduled date of the event.
