Project Description:Learn about Atlanta's urban forestry projects while beautifying the city via tree care! Dress to work outside (don't forget to bring a reusable bottle for water and wear closed-toed shoes!)

"Trees Atlanta is a nationally recognized citizens group that protects and improves Atlanta's urban forest by planting, conserving, and educating. Founded in 1985 by Central Atlanta Progress, the Junior League of Atlanta, Inc. and the Atlanta Parks Commissioner, Trees Atlanta has been a prime force in addressing Atlanta's tree loss, creating increased green space, and conserving the city's trees."

Volunteer FurKids

"Furkids was founded in 2002 by Samantha Shelton after she found a stray mother cat with kittens and was unable to find a shelter that would take them in. She was spurred to action because of the challenging pet overpopulation problem that exists in Georgia."
