Introduction to Your Second Year at Emory

Time to get your second year started! This program officially starts the SYE Kickoff. Students will enjoy some snacks and refreshments as they hear about Second Year at Emory and the Kickoff schedule for the week. Also, students will receive a preview of events happening during their second year.

First Floor Meetings

Come to your first hall meeting to meet your Resident Advisor and your neighbors. RAs will review the plans for the year, talk about your residence hall, and afterwards lead you to the Welcome Back Barbeque!

Welcome Back BBQ
Tuesday, August 23, 6:00 PM at Woodruff Library Patio
Come get reacquainted with friends and enjoy some tasty barbeque. The Welcome Back BBQ is the largest SYE event of the year. Second-year students are invited to join their peers and the SYE staff members for dinner before the first day of classes. Don't miss it!

Songfest
Thursday, August 25, 8:30 PM at WoodPEC - Upper Track
Return as a Songfest veteran to cheer on your freshman hall in the annual competition. Watch from the 3rd floor track overlooking the basketball court below, giving you the very best view of each hall's routine. Cheer your freshman hall on and build up support for the new class!

Festapaloozaganzaroo

Festapaloozaganzaroo is the official welcome back party for the Emory community. Students from every school of the University, faculty, and staff are all welcome to enjoy great live music, free food, and giveaways. Meet up with your classmates, reconnect with friends, and hopefully make some new connections!
