FAME: Freshmen Advising & Mentoring at Emory
Freshman Advising and Mentoring at Emory (FA ME) delivers first-rate academic advising and prepares incoming students for building a unique college experience at Emory. The program brings together faculty, staff, and student leaders to mentor first-year students on the ins and outs of college life and help them discover their special niche at Emory. Usually consisting of 16 to 18 first-year students, FAME groups are led by members of Emory’s faculty and staff, as well as two experienced students. While these leaders can answer almost any question first-year students have, they can also introduce students to important campus resources that will support their academic success. The purpose of the program is threefold:
