Checking In: Central Campus

The check-in procedure varies depending on whether you are a new or returning student. Typically, incoming first-year students arrive a few days before returning residents in order to participate in Freshmen Orientation. Information on check-in procedures for all residents is located below:

Check-In Procedures for First-Year Students ::
AUGUST 22, 2009 | 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM

** To alleviate traffic and congestion on Move In Day, all first-year students have been assigned a move in time for Saturday's move in. This information is posted on your MyHousing page. **

1. Go to your assigned residence hall check-in location—here you will find several very friendly Residence Life & Housing staff members who will provide you with your room key and room condition report. Keep in mind that there will be a lot of new students checking in at the same place—this is a great time to meet some of your future neighbors.
2. Pick-up your room key and Room Condition Report — a Residence Life & Housing staff member will take you through the check-in process and direct you to your room.
3. Start moving in! There’s no doubt you’ll have to make more than a few trips between your car and your new room. But, we’ll do our best to help you out by providing additional move-in assistance and cold drinks.
4. If you must arrive AFTER Saturday, please email HousingHelp@learnlink.emory.edu to receive check-in instructions.
5. If you have any questions on check-in day, please stop by the Office of Residence Life & Housing in Alabama Hall or ask your Resident Advisor.
