To file a work order
Facilities Manangement has set up a website so that student smay file their own work orders for maintenance and pest control issues. Please go to:

to complete your work order. You must use an on-campus computer to be able to access this website.

If you have any questions about a maintenance issue or wish to report an emergency maintenance problem during office hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday), please call the Clairmont Campus Community Office at 404.727.8830.

If you are experiencing an emergency maintenance issue during the hours of 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, you can reach the Resident Assistant on call by pager at 404.742.8814 (GRC and Tower residents) or 404.570.7766 (URC residents).

If you are experiencing a maintenance emergency when the Clairmont Community Office is closed and no RA is on call, please contact the Emory Police at 404.727.6111.

Emergency Maintenance
In the event of an emergency maintenance issue, please contact the Clairmont Campus Community Office during office hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday) to report an issue by calling 404.727.8830. The office will be able to contact the maintenance person on call.

If you have a maintenance emergency between during the hours of 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, you can reach the Resident Assistant on call by pager at 404.742.8814 (GRC and Tower residents) or 404.570.7766 (URC residents).

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I get something fixed?
Facilities Management has set up a website so that students may file their own work orders for maintenance, custodial, telephone, laundry, Emory Card and pest control issues. Please go to:

to complete your work order. You must use a computer on campus to be able to access this website.

2. What are the normal hours of the maintenance staff?
Normal work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

3. What kinds of problems does maintenance handle?
Heating and air conditioning (HVAC), hot water problems, no water, leaks, lock problems, door problems, securing exterior doors, windows, lights, power outages, and appliance problems.

4. What should I do if my sink is clogged?
You should use a plunger if available. DO NOT use Liquid Plumr or other drain cleaners. The use of drain cleaners may injure a maintenance mechanic. If a plunger does not work, contact the Clairmont Campus Community Office.

5. How do I use a garbage disposal?
Start running cold water. Turn on the disposal. Insert the food. After the food is ground, turn off the disposal. Leave the water running for an additional 30 seconds. DO NOT place bones, flowers, gravel, metal, glass, plastic, or other foreign objects in the disposal.
