Log on to your MyHousing web page and follow the instructions for routine maintenance
requests. Routine requests might take up to 3 business days to complete.
Keep this in mind when you submit a request on a Friday afternoon.

If you are experiencing an emergency, please contact the Emory
University Police Department immediately by dialing 911 (from any on-campus
phone) or 404.727.6111 (from an off-campus number). Also contact any Residence
Life staff member living in your residence hall
for
assistance.
The following problems are generally considered emergencies.

Work Orders CANNOT be submitted for the following items:
Lock Changes/Lost keys
If you have lost your keys or are locked out of your room, follow
the Residence Life lock-out policy.
Carpet Cleaning/Replacement;
Furniture Replacement/Removal; Painting
Contact your RA if you feel that your carpet is excessively dirty.
The furniture that is in your room when you move in must remain
in your room.
Rooms are
painted as needed during summer or holiday breaks.

1. How do I get something fixed?
Logon to your MyHousing web page and follow the instructions for routine
maintenance requests.

What are the normal hours of the maintenance staff?
Normal work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through
Friday.
3. What kinds of problems
does maintenance handle?
Heating and air conditioning (HVAC), hot water problems,
no water, leaks, lock problems, door problems, securing
exterior doors,
windows, lights,
power outages,
and appliance problems.
4. What should I do if my
sink is clogged?
You should use a plunger if available. DO NOT use Liquid Plumber
or other drain cleaners. The use of drain cleaners may injure a maintenance
mechanic.
