CIL Program
Center for International Living
The Center for International Living (CIL) provides an intellectual and social experience for Emory juniors and seniors living at Clairmont Campus who have interests in international topics and cultures.

The CIL is directed by Paul and Peggy Courtright who live at the end of the corridor adjacent to the CIL apartments. Paul Courtright is a professor in the Department of Religion with research and teaching interestson India and comparative religion. Peggy Courtright is an attorney in practice in Decatur with specialization in family law.

CIL sponsors a series of events throughout the year including informal receptions and talks by distinguished visitors to campus, Emory faculty, leaders in Atlanta engaged in various projects having to do with our city's growing international profile, discussions, films, and field trips. Leadership for the CIL will be provided by a steering committee from among the resident members and the directors. Students who are willing to make a commitment to participate in the CIL and make time for two or three events per month are invited to apply.
