About Summer Programs at Emory

Thank you for your interest in summer on-campus housing. Students can only be housed on campus if they are enrolled in classes in an Emory summer program. If you are in Atlanta for a summer internship or some other academically-related pursuit, please refer to our Summer Intern Housing website.

Maymester
Maymester, a three-week term immediately following graduation, offers Emory undergraduates and visiting students the opportunity to engage in intensive academic courses and to earn three or four credit hours. Maymester courses take full advantage of the condensed term, offering students an opportunity to explore and experience academic subject matter in ways that may not be available during traditional terms.

Maymester will run May 13-30, 2014. Summer students in Maymester will be assigned to Clairmont Tower, situated at Clairmont Campus. Apartments are either one-, two-, or three-bedroom; rooms may be doubles or supersingles. Click here for summer housing rates.

Maymester students may begin checking in at 2:00pm on Monday, May 12, 2014 and must move in no later than 5:00pm on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Check out is by noon on May 31, 2014.

If you should require interim housing (the dates in-between Spring moveout and Maymester), you must request it via email (housing@emory.edu) no later than April 15. Interim housing is only available to those who have and will maintain a Maymester housing assignment. A flat rate will be charged for students who request interim housing and do not move into Maymester housing. If you are requesting interim housing, you must be able to move in on May 9.

MD-SEE
The MD Summer Experience at Emory (MD-SEE), a six-week course in neurology, offers students clinical experience, classroom guidance on presentations, and a vigorous look at current issues and practices in medicine.

MD-SEE will run May 19 - June 27, 2014. Students participating in MD-SEE who choose to live on campus will be assigned to housing at Clairmont Campus (Tower, URC, or CRC). Click here for summer housing rates.

MD-SEE students may begin checking in at 10:00 am on Sunday, May 18, 2014. Students must move in no later than 5:00 pm on Monday, May 19, 2014. Check out is by noon on Saturday, June 28, 2014.

If you should require interim housing (the dates in-between Spring moveout and MD-SEE), you must request it via email (housing@emory.edu) no later than April 15. Interim housing is only available to those who have and will maintain a summer housing assignment. Interim Housing is available May 8-18, 2014 for $180; you will remain in your current spring assignment from May 8-13 unless otherwise assigned. Please note that your interim assignment may not be the same as your summer assignment.

Summer Business Institute
The Summer Business Institute, offered by the Goizueta Business School is for undergraduate students who would like to develop management knowledge as they may apply to their current areas of study.

The Summer Business Institute will run May 14 - June 4, 2014. SBI students choosing to reside on campus will be assigned to a one-, two-, or three-bedroom apartment in Clairmont Tower. Click here for summer housing rates.

SBI students may begin checking in at 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 and must move in no later than 5:00pm on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Check out is by noon on June 5, 2014.

If you should require interim housing (the dates in-between Spring moveout and Maymester), you must request it via email (housing@emory.edu) no later than April 15. Interim housing is only available to those who have and will maintain a summer housing assignment. Interim Housing is available May 8-18, 2014 for $180; you will remain in your current spring assignment from May 8-13 unless otherwise assigned. Please note that your interim assignment may not be the same as your summer assignment.

Film Studies Institute
New for Summer 2014, Emory is partnering with Pinewood Studios in Atlanta to bring students two three-week long programs.

The Film Studies Institute will run May 19 - June 6, 2014 or June 30 - July 18, 2014. FSI students choosing to reside on campus will be assigned to a one-, two-, or three-bedroom apartment in Clairmont Tower. Click here for summer housing rates.

FSI - Session I students may begin checking in at 10:00 am on Sunday, May 18, 2014. Students must move in no later than 5:00 pm on Monday, May 19, 2014. Check out is by noon on Saturday, June 7, 2014.

FSI - Session II students may begin checking in at 1:00 pm on Sunday, June 29. Students must move in no later than 5:00 pm on Monday, June 30. Check out is by noon on Saturday, July 19, 2014.

If you should require interim housing (the dates in-between Spring moveout and FSI-Session I), you must request it via email (housing@emory.edu) no later than April 15. Interim housing is only available to those who have and will maintain a housing assignment during FSI-Session I. Interim Housing is available May 8-18, 2014 for $180; you will remain in your current spring assignment from May 8-13 unless otherwise assigned. Academics and Culture at Emory (ACE)
Academics and Culture at Emory (ACE) is a 3-week program for incoming first-year international students that helps them adjust to the academic, social, and cultural life at Emory and Atlanta before the fall semester begins.

ACE will run August 3 - 22, 2014. Students participating in ACE will be living in Sorority Village. Click here for summer housing rates.

ACE students will check in on Sunday, August 3, 2014 and will move to their fall room assignments on Friday, August 15, 2014.
