The Crystal Apple Awards honor faculty members who go above and beyond
in their search for knowledge and involvement in the Emory community.
Each year, students are asked to nominate their professors based
on the following criteria. The eight (8) Crystal Apple Awards are
listed below; please click on the links for specific nomination
criteria.

This award is designed for Emory faculty who instruct (or have instructed)
classes with less than 20 students. (S)he should also meet the following criteria:

This award is named for Mrs. Laura Jones Hardman, a distinguished member of the
Emory Board of Trustees, who exemplifies devotion to Emory, its students, and
unsurpassed altruism to the greater community.
The Laura Jones Hardman Award is bestowed upon an instructor who exemplifies incredible service that is generally separate from obligations to teaching and research. Previous recipients served as role-models to students and others by offering an unselfish, time-consuming, and appreciable service to our community

This award is named for William H. Fox, Jr., who after his distinguished 26-year
career at Emory retired as Senior Vice President for Institutional Advancement.
Prior to serving in this role, Bill (as he was commonly known to both colleagues
and students alike) served as the first-ever Vice President and Dean for Campus
Life from 1979 until 1993. Dr. Fox retried from Emory in 2005.
The Fox Award was created and developed to recognize the accomplishments of junior faculty members. Restrictions on faculty
eligibility for this award include and are
limited to faculty members who are classified as having been at Emory
for fewer than ten (10) years, may be eligible to
receive this award.
Recipients
of this award may be instructors of large classes or
seminars, creative or performing arts classes,
or graduate
or professional school classes.
Criteria for previous
