HELLO ISSP - I NEED ASSISTANCE!

ISSP is here to assist you in maintaining your immigration status in an efficient environment. We have reviewed our procedures throughout the 2008-2009 academic year and have fully implemented the following policies as it relates to on-call hours and requesting/picking up documents.

ON-CALL HOURS

Do you have a quick question that requires 10 minutes or less to answer? Then ISSP is pleased to offer an opportunity for students and scholars to meet with us without an appointment. During On-Call Advising we are able to assist you with:

  • Travel signatures
  • On-campus work authorization signatures including SSN letters
  • Basic immigration questions
  • Dropping off documents for request such as CPT, program extensions, adding dependents, etc.
  • Updating your student information form and/or immigration documents after travel

The On-Call schedule for Fall 2009 is:

Monday - 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Tuesday - 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
Wednesday - No Walk-In Hours
Thursday - 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Friday - 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

If you meet with an advisor and during the conversation we need more time to discuss your situation, we may ask you to schedule a subsequent appointment with us.

REQUESTING/PICKING UP DOCUMENTS: CPT, PROGRAM EXTENSIONS AND ADDING DEPENDENT(S)

Appointments are no longer required for requesting CPT, program extensions and requesting documents for dependents. You have the ability to bring in these requests at anytime during business hours except on Wednesdays between 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm.

Visit our website to find the necessary documents for each procedure. Once you have the documentation, bring it to ISSP located in the North Decatur Building, Suite 130. Your request will be fulfilled within five business days. You will receive an e-mail from your advisor once the item is available for pick up. Please note that if additional documentation is requested, it will delay the processing of your request. For more information on requirements:
