International scholar orientation

The ISSP office presents new international scholar orientations every Tuesday at 3:00 pm and every Thursday at 9:00 am in Suite 130 of the North Decatur Building (1784 North Decatur Road). All international scholars (classified in non-immigrant status) who are newly employed or sponsored by Emory University are required to attend this orientation; they should bring with them their immigration documents (I-94 arrival/departure card; passport and visa stamp, if required; and Form I-797 approval notice). Orientation lasts around one hour; scholars will learn basic immigration regulations pertinent to their status, general information for adjustment to Emory and the surrounding community, and will also receive informational packets for future reference during their stay.
