Religious life

Because Atlanta is a large and diverse metropolis, many of the world's religions have committed adherents living here. If you are Christian, Jewish, or Muslim, there are many worship and fellowship opportunities available either on or near the Emory campus. Buddhism, Hinduism, and other religions are also well represented by active congregations in the Atlanta area - most of them accessible by MARTA.

There is too much information to adequately present here, so we recommend that you contact the Office of the University Chaplain and Religious Life. The university chaplain is Rev. Susan Henry-Crowe (316 Cannon Chapel; 727-6226), and the assistant to the chaplain for international programs is Dr. David Hilton (727-4070; e-mail: dhilton@emory.edu). They can provide you with more information about your faith group and make some referrals, if needed. They also have a support group for spouses of international students and scholars.
